FAC Satellite: Iris at 20
Iris at 20 commemorates the two-decade legacy of the Iris group—a feminist collective known for its creative interventions tied to International Women’s Day. This FAC satellite event reflects on the legacy of Decade of Days (1997), originally presented by the Burlington Art Centre, and brings the conversation into the 21st century through the lens of continued activism and artistic growth. Iris members and allies will engage in a panel discussion on feminist cultural collectivization, creative memory, and resistance in contemporary practice.
Historical Context
Tied to the Decade of Days exhibition (1997, Burlington Art Centre) which marked the 10th anniversary of the École Polytechnique Massacre. Reflects continuity in feminist collective organizing across decades.
